Green Lantern.

This started out as a low budget movie, which explains a lot….

I have to say that this movie was less than awesome, it just…seemed like a cool video game. Kind of cutesy, not thrilling or suspenseful in the least. I rate this as OK. My 13 yr. old brother liked it though. A win in his book….not so much in mine.

I suppose I shouldn’t have hoped for something awesome like Iron Man…there’s not really anyone comparable to him. <3

*Geek alert*

X Men First Class

Confession: I’m in love with X Men…the comic books as well as the movies…I’m not a dork or anything.. =]

Heh. Ok, so I’ve seen like all of the new movies this summer minus Hangover II. Not really inclined to go see that one, as I’ve heard it has more nudity than the first one. The first one was hilarious, albeit crude…but still funny. Nevermind. This is about the new X Men movie.

Wicked awesome. I absolutely loved it and I thought it was incredible. I’m not sure if Origins stands as my favorite any more and that is saying something because Wolverine is my favorite.

The story was so great, and I loved that they dove into the characters you never really knew about previously. (Kinda the point.) =] I’m glad that they let you into Mystique’s life and gave you her story a bit because in the first 3 movies, she seems totally alien and emotionless.

I loved Xavier and Magneto. So stinking awesome. Especially Magneto’s story. I loved it so much and you get so involved in his character. I also loved the way that Magneto turned. He’s not just a horrible bad guy that you hate. He’s totally awesome and you love him, but you know he’s making the wrong choice. *cries*

Cinematography was awesome. I loved it so so so much. Way better than something like…Green Lantern. Bahaha. Which I will post about next. The scenes were just…wow. Everything was wow and it was great. I loved it.

Anyway, what a great movie. I suggest that you all go see it, and take all of your friends with you. And that they bring all of their friends along, and they bring their friends, and so on. I rate this as a mucho win. That’s even better than a regular win on the Amanda scale of awesomeness.

Go forth and watch this movie. You won’t regret it.

Super 8

First of all, J.J. Abrams. Automatically makes me a fan, because he’s one of my favorite directors.

I thought the movie was great, although it had a little too much language for my taste. And that was especially not needed because it was coming out of children’s mouths. Other than that, I’d say it was a winner. It was definitely one of the better movies I’ve seen this summer, but it wasn’t really a “blow you away” movie. It was good though. Great acting, and filming. Nice summer movie.

And…that’s about all I have to say about that. haha. Sorry if it’s lame, but that’s what I thought. It was nice, not too surprising. But I do have to add that some of the scenes were awesome. The whole train scene was pretty sweet.

Alrighty, here is what I've decided- I'm going to do movie and book reviews. Book reviews because I'm in a summer book program and for every 5 books I read and post reviews on I get a free book. Win.
Movies because I'm obsessed with them. I love movies. <3

Idea?

I'm thinking about turning this into some sort of review blog. What say you?
